Brendan Fitzgerald ( Bass, Saxophone, Flute ,Vocals) Brendan's multi talented combination of singing and playing an array of instruments and natural gift for song writing puts him in quality field. . His diverse playing styles are unlimited including Rock, Funk, Pop. Classical, Jazz and Country Folk. An accomplished writer he has been the foundation for the new soon to be released international artists Nervo, Caytya and Chrissa, this project is in conjunction with Sony Records. His television work as Assistant Music Director can be heard on the highly successful and top rating Channel Nine Footy Show, working weekly with Eddie Mc Guire, Sam Newman and Trevor Marmalade. Brendan will continue to write and produce and cement his name as one of the New Breed Australian talents.
Darren Mc Master-Smith (Drums, Vocals). Ranked by Beat Magazine in the top 3 Australian Drummers today and playing drums before he could virtually walk, Darren's musicianship is impeccable. He can play any style and is the most demanded session drummer around. For such a young man he has many impressive credits to his name. Some highlights include; reaching the top 20 European charts for recording with the band 'Hobbs Angels' a major European sensation, performed at 'The Big Day Out" and is currently recording studio work with Sony. Darren also played the National Anthem at the NBL Grand final at Rod Laver Arena and his current work is featured on the new Nervo CD.
Jim Fitzgerald (Guitar, Vocals, Fiddle, Viola, Mandolin and Banjo)As a graduate of The Melbourne College of Music and Arts majoring in Guitar and String Instruments, Jim is a highly respected musician. His strong vocal talents also add an extra depth and body to Big Deal's sound. He has been a regular guest Guitar/Vocalist on GMA and his other television credits include The Logie Awards, Brownlow medal Awards ,The Channel 9 Footy Show and Hey Hey It's Saturday. Jim toured New Zealand and South East Asia with John Diesel and has performed solo at the National State Theatre. He continues to further his colourful career in the Australian Music industry working with Paul Kelly and is currently featured on the new Nervo, Chrissa CDs.
Brant Chapman (Keyboards ,Vocals) Brant`s contribution to the music and entertainment industry is outstanding. He has worked with major international act as Bon Jovi and Jamiroquai and is currently working on the Chrissa and Nervo Projects. After graduating from the School of Music Engineering, he has gained a professional experience for band sound and presentation, which significantly contributes to the fine touches to Big Deal's quality act . His Television credits include Rove Live ,Video Hits, The Late Show Hey Hey it's Saturday and The Channel 9 Footy Show, watch for his face on the new Pringles and Mars TV commercials.
Nick Ellul (Sound Engineer/Lighting Technician) Nik Has been an integral part of Big Deal's line up since they formed. Graduating form RMIT in Electronic Engineering and Technical Sound he has gained invaluable experience working within the corporate industry for 9 years as an Event Sound and Stage Manager with Haycom Sound and Staging.
