DIRTY SOUTH

Over the past 3 years, Dirty South aka Dragan Roganovic has made an instant name for himself in the dance music industry, impressing the who’s who of international DJs, producers, media and music lovers with his uncanny ability to dish up ready-made dancefloor bombs.

Born in Europe and moved to Australia when he was 13, Dragan’s thirst for music took a hold of him from a young age. Unable to afford turntables, the youngster began ‘mixing’ with an old NEC Cassette deck, while his growing fascination with production saw him re-jig his home computer and start to make beats with it using demo music software.

DISCO MAFIA

Disco Mafia is made up of two of Australia’s leading’s djs; Miles Junior and Hess.

Over the past few years Miles has been working his way up the ranks as one of Australias top DJs while Hess has been busy touring internationally, producing and running the label Bamboo Music.

Disco Mafia kicked off their newly formed partnership in 2007 at the WMC in Miami playing at the Bamboo Event alongside some of the top dj’s in the world.

The dynamic duo’s productions, bootlegs and re-edits, have been supported by some of the world’s best dj’s including; Jesse Garcia, dj Noir, Vandalism, Roger Sanchez and more.

GRANT SMILEY

In a year that can only be described as stellar, Grant alongside Ivan Gough sent their TV ROCK studio project through the roof. Their debut single ‘Flaunt It’ feat Seany B broke all records, achieving double platinum sales (160,000 units) and screamed to the #1 position on the ARIA charts; picking up 2 ARIA gongs for highest selling single and best dance record respectively. TV ROCK also released Sunshine City- their debut album to much acclaim.

JAMES ASH

Looking at a career as long and varied as James Ash's, it's pretty weird to think that it all began in a mates' London bedroom studio back in 1989.

‘That was the critical moment I was exposed to Dance Music', explains James, ‘Before that it had all been about Hip Hop and electronics'. Long term collaborator Steve D was to blame… ‘When Steve started putting all these records on, it just blew my head off. I knew then Dance music was something special'.

JOHN COURSE

A leading DJ and figure in Australian dance music John first rose to prominence when he won the DMC Mixing Competition in Victoria in 1988 (which he again won in 1989).). Since that time John has remained at the top of his game. His mixing, scratching and tricks from the early days are still prominent in his sets today, utilising CDJ 1000s, decks, FX and accapellas in the mix of his up, funky, club sounds.

Vicious, the record label that John co-owns, was established in 1990 and has also been at the forefront of the Australian Dance scene since its inception.

DIRTY LAUNDRY

Dirty Laundry has been at the forefront of the Australian club-scene since its inception in 2004. The brainchild of Melbourne DJs, JJ Styles and Dean Cherny, Dirty Laundry is a tasty mash-up of Indie Rock, Pop, Dance and Electronica.

Internationally acclaimed for their unique and mischievous live show, nothing can really prepare you for the Dirty Laundry experience – it’s a non-stop action-packed hybrid of video animation, dance and musical performance.

The Intergalactic Video Show adds a new dimension to Dirty Laundry’s already dynamic show. It’s a ground-breaking series of animated clips, each purposely produced and synced with the music. Produced for arena style events and adapted for club gigs, the video show has set a new benchmark for live performance in the Australian club scene.

Now in the final stages of production, Dirty Laundry’s eagerly awaited first studio album is due for release in 2009. The boys have teamed up with some of Australia’s most talented producers, including Timothy Dudfield (Mr Timothy) and Andy J (Sgt Slick) to craft a mix of funk infused, disco spiked electro pop.

Disco Infected, their debut single, peaked at No.10 on the ARIA Club Chart in August 2008.

Now Dirty Laundry is releasing their second single, Hate Me, along with a world-class music video that showcases the bands sublime performance skills.

With Hate Me about to hit the small screen – rest assured Dirty Laundry is about to go large.
