ROD QUANTOCK

Rod Quantock is one of Australia's most loved comics and identities. Rod sprang from architecture revues in the early seventies, going on to create the landmark series, Australia: You're Standing In It.

He is one of the reasons that Melbourne is the live comedy capital of Australia. Rod's Melbourne Comedy Festival live shows are fast sell-outs, and he received the Green Room Award for Best Fringe/Comedy Event for his show Sunrise Boulevard. He was a regular on the Network Ten’s Good News Week.

ARJ BARKER

Arj Barker has firmly established himself as one of the golden boys on the international comedy circuit. For years, he has been honing his craft at comedy festivals and clubs all around the world. He has made numerous appearances on late night talk shows, including Letterman and Conan O'Brien shows, as well as his own half-hour special on HBO produced by Comedy Central. Arj also plays Dave on HBO's hit series Flight of the Conchords.

Though acting is a consideration, Barker seems to enjoy doing stand-up and travelling most. And so he continues to tour the world, bringing his original brand of humour wherever there's a stage and an English speaking audience.

DENISE SCOTT

“Denise Scott... only has to look as if she's going to say something and everyone laughs."  - Sunday Herald Sun

Denise Scott has been treading the boards for longer than she cares to remember, but it is this wealth of experience that makes her one the country's strongest live comic performers. Since her start in the biz in the early 1980's, Scotty has been making people laugh with her blend of personal stories and topical observations.

Now in her fifties, with a couple of adult kids, Denise has experienced a new surge in popularity. She can be heard each morning on Vega 91.5 as a pivotal member of the breakfast show.

BRAD OAKES

Brad Oakes is a popular and versatile performer; a veteran of thousands of shows, television appearances and other media. Despite this list of achievements, he constantly strives to perfect his performances, adding to his extensive repertoire as he goes.

His take on comedy is that it will be best for the audience if they can "see jokes through his eyes" and accordingly takes time to craft his material. His technique incorporates adapting his speaking to match whichever audience he is working to entertain. The resultant 'natural style' provides access to his humour that makes crowds listen and shut out the outside world.

Whatever the event Brad has the experience that provides humour that all can enjoy. He combines clever concepts with simple language to provide laughs and an experience to be talked about long after the event. He is also a trained public speaker and a highly sought after Compere.

CAL WILSON

Cal Wilson is best known in Australia for her hugely successful Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows and a cast member on Network 10’s comedy sketch show, Skithouse. Cal was also a favourite panel member on The Glasshouse and guest on The Panel and Rove Live.

After conquering the corporate and television markets in New Zealand, Cal has moved to Australia and as a fantastic stand up comedian and MC, she has proved to be a welcome breath of fresh air in the corporate market.

JOSH THOMAS

After only a few short years of performing stand-up, Josh’s unique talent has the Australian Comedy Industry abuzz. His innocent face and cutting dialect combine to create a voice that is genuinely distinct and exciting. For a performer so young to have such an honest and developed sense of who he is on stage is quite remarkable. He picked up the Gong for Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for his first ever solo show, Please Like Me, and followed this with 6 weeks touring with the Comedy Festival Roadshow.

Josh has been a regular favourite on Talkin’ Bout Your Generation, Good News Week and ABC TV’s Q&A – he is a frequent and entertaining contributor to the world of Twitter and has charmed and engaged audiences of all ages via TV, radio, the internet and, of course, his live performances.
