KARISE EDEN

Just when you look at the charts and despair of teenagers' tastes in music, along comes Karise Eden.

The 19-year-old was raised on the blues. And sadly went through blues of her own - even a cursory listen to her sole original song here, I Was Your Girl, documents that.

But as post-reality TV show covers albums go, wouldn't you rather hear a teenager sing (and really sing) Etta James and Janis Joplin covers than Black Eyed Peas or Katy Perry?

Downloaded by eager Voice fans who already have their own Karise mini-journey on their iPods, the selling point is the five new covers Eden speed-recorded. You wouldn't know. One good thing about Eden recording songs she loves is just that - these aren't songs someone's foisted on her to get on radio next to LMFAO, rather they showcase that voice.

CASSIE DAVIS

Driven. A perfectionist. Unpredictable. Real. Hailing from Perth, Cassie is one of the new breed of young artists who isn’t just a writer and singer, but a multi-instrumentalist and a studio-savvy producer.

Multi-talented and multi-dimensional Cassie’s music speaks for a generation which, when it comes to style, don’t have to have one or another. They can simply have it all...

IAN MOSS

The voice of Ian Moss has modestly purred beneath his searing guitar playing for more than 30 years – but no longer.

For his sixth solo album, Soul on West 53rd, Ian’s sweet, soaring vocal is the pivot around which famed American producer Danny Kortchmar has built a rich, soulful sound, drawing on classic songs from the likes of Sam Cooke, Al Green, Otis Redding and Bill Withers. Unleashing this surge of soul power has unlocked a whole new chapter in Mossy’s performing career, which ironically was triggered by his appearances on the television series It Takes Two that highlighted vocal duets...

BRIAN MCFADDEN

Internationally, Brian McFadden is one of the most successful performers of his generation. Prior to going solo, he was a member of the phenomenally successful boyband Westlife, a group that sits alongside U2 as the most successful music act ever to come out of Ireland.

Westlife hold the record for the most number one singles in a row on the UK charts ever - seven. They had a total of 12 number one singles during Brian’s time in the group, plus four number one albums, selling in excess of 30 million albums...

JADE MACRAE

For any songwriter or performer, maintaining one’s integrity is not always so easy in the world of commercial pop music. Especially when you are classically trained in violin and piano, you have a love for old-school soul and R&B and you work primarily in an Australian market dominated by rock and pop...

COSIMA DEVITO

Not long after her Australian Idol success in 2003, Cosima celebrated her debut CD release with a memorable version of the Cold Chisel classic When The War Is Over. Entering the charts at number one she made history as the first independent artist to achieve that status in Australia. The single was certified gold on debut, quickly growing beyond platinum in the weeks that followed.

In late 2007 Cosima released her new album. Entitled THIS IS NOW; it is a collection of mostly self-penned tracks that strongly reflect her personal journey. Stand out tracks include LEFT WAITING (written by The Veronicas), NEVER BE A WOMAN IN CHAINS and FOREVER YOUNG.
