Since releasing their #1 debut album Taxiride have reached the top of the Australian music industry with a succession of hit singles & albums, awards and sold out live shows.

Taxiride is one of Australia’s premiere recording and live performance bands. They have toured the world with their unique vocal harmonies in acoustic and electric shows over the last 10 years.

Taxiride’s debut album Imaginate hit #1 on the album chart, achieved double platinum sales and spawned the top 5 hit singles “Get Set” and “Everywhere You Go”, along the way snaring a Best New Artist ARIA award. To support the global release of their debut album the band made serious inroads in America, Japan and Europe, capped off by two sold out Wembley Stadium shows supporting Tina Turner.

In July 2002 Taxiride released their second album Garage Mahal. The album delivered the band a consecutive top 5 album chart and a consecutive double platinum seller. Garage Mahal featured the top 5 hit single and number 1 radio song of 2002, “Creepin’ Up Slowly”. As with Imaginate, Garage Mahal was released globally and was supported by the band undertaking a hectic promotion and touring schedule through Europe and Japan.

Taxiride’s third album is AXIOMATIC and features the hit singles “Oh Yeah”, “You Gotta Help Me” and “What Can I Say”. The album has been released in Japan, India and South East Asia.

Taxiride’s latest album is ELECTROPHOBIA and features live acoustic versions of all of their hits and includes 2 new tracks. The DVD OF ELECTROPHOBIA is now available.

SLINKEE MINX

SLINKEE MINX first arrived on the music scene in impressive style in mid-2004, with their explosive remake of the 1989 Belinda Carlisle classic ‘Summer Rain’. Rocketing into the ARIA Singles Chart at #5, ‘Summer Rain’ also held the #1 position on the ARIA Dance Chart for 13 consecutive weeks, achieving Gold status in a very short time.

International success soon followed with the release of ‘Summer Rain’ in more than 50 countries including the UK, where it reached #3 on the UK Mainstream Dance Chart and #9 on the UK Commercial Club Chart...

LISA EDWARDS

Renowned for her ability to perform live, Lisa Edwards has covered many areas in music including jazz, musicals and contemporary material. Her experience also covers television, recordings, and live work, dancing and playing numerous musical instruments. Lisa has worked with many high profile Australian acts such as Noiseworks, Black Sorrows, Real Life, Ross Wilson, Billy Thorpe, Glen Shorrock, Brian Cadd, Mike Brady and Kate Ceberano and was one of the most impressive vocalists on the Kylie Minogue European tour. However, Lisa is probably best known to Australian audiences as one of John Farnham's accomplished and dynamic backing singers. Lisa has been a constant member of the Farnham band since 1988, touring both nationally and internationally.

As well as the top Australian acts, Lisa has shared the stage with an array of international stars such as Sting, Al Green, Lenny Kravitz, Natalie Cole, Bryan Adams, Cindy Lauper, Yoko Ono, Tom Jones, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Anthony Warlow, Olivia Newton John and Barbara Streisand. Exuding sensuality, Lisa is the essence of sophistication.

MICHAEL PAYNTER

The musical evolution of Michael Paynter has been a series of obsessive    love affairs. At the age of 7 it was the piano, at age 12 it was the guitar and by the age of 15 he was crashing through a set of drums.

It's a natural progression that, at the age of 22, the Melbourne-born singer, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist unleashes his debut record, This Welcome Diversion, a travelogue of expectations and disappointments through the eyes of an optimist.

“If there’s a thread through my songs, it’s my positive spin on life. It’s a wonderful experience and you need to have fun even when you’re facing up to its challenges.”

This Welcome Diversion is packed with guitar-driven songs, at once both sharp and worn a little around the edges. The album was recorded with U.S. producer Matt Wallace (Faith No More Maroon 5, Bic Runga) at Sound City Studios where Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, and Tom Petty cut their classic records.

“The experience of making this record took me to a whole new level. Matt was very encouraging, and working with someone of that calibre in a studio with that kind of history just brought out the best in me.”
